This summer, Jane Street Hong Kong is excited to host the WiSE programme for pre-collegiate students in July 2025! We are inviting self-identifying women, transgender and gender-expansive individuals who graduate high school between Nov 2024 and Jul 2025, to spend two days in our office learning more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.

In this challenging multi-day programme, you’ll learn how we use math, computer science, and probability concepts in our daily work. Attendees will meet some of our traders and technologists and learn how they transitioned from their university concentrations in STEM to careers at Jane Street. Participants will also attend a social event, which will provide additional opportunities to get to know Jane Streeters and other program participants. If you have a curious mind, a collaborative spirit, and enjoy digging into complex mathematical problems, this programme is for you!

Selected students will arrive on 16 July and depart on 19 July. Jane Street will provide all travel to and from Hong Kong as well as accommodation and financial assistance for meals and incidentals. Our office is located in Chater House, Central Hong Kong and the hotel where you’ll be staying is just a few minutes away.

Application process

Please submit a resume listing your educational credentials (e.g., school name, subjects, grades) and achievements (e.g., competitions, awards, extracurriculars). Please also include a 150-word statement about yourself so we can learn more about you!

The deadline to apply for this event is Sunday, 18 May, 2025 at 11:59pm HKT.

We will update you on your application status by Monday, 26 May, 2025. Please note this programme does not require prior knowledge of finance, only an interest in STEM topics and a curiosity to learn more about Jane Street.
