This month’s puzzle was a cryptogram — the red cards (in order) map to the letters A-M, and the black cards to N-Z. The cards read “How many more full houses than straights are found in this deck?” Looking back at the deck, 19,420 full houses can be made, and 12,228 straights can be made (including ace-high and ace-low straights). So, the answer we were looking for was 7,192.
Congrats to this month’s randomly-chosen winner of a Jane Street t-shirt, Jacob Hilton!
