Jane Street takes the crown in 2024 chess tournament

After many intense matches, a team of seven Jane Street chess enthusiasts called checkmate on more than 400 players across 36 other company teams—many from tech and finance—in Season 10 of the North American Corporate Chess League online tournament.

Jane Street has participated in the tournament for a few years with several “Top 10” finishes, including a runner-up spot in Season 9. While the competition was fierce, we finished this season as champions, leading the pack by a margin of 10 points (wins)—which is more than the difference between the second and 17th place finishing scores. We’re already looking forward to Season 11 and the chance to test our skills again.
